About enerjia

Enerjia is a Brisbane-based renewable energy and power systems technical consultancy. We specialize in power system modelling and analysis, development of detailed power plant simulation models, as well as power plant control systems.

We offer a wealth of experience in the on-grid and off-grid power system sectors with a focus on grid-forming battery energy storage technology, with excellent knowledge of the Australian market in particular.

Enerjia was formed in 2021 and is led by Stan Cherevatskiy who holds over 10 years of industry experience in the renewable space. It was formed after Stan worked on a diverse array of challenging projects for renewable & BESS integration, where he learned first hand the importance of expert consultancy so that projects are managed and completed to the highest quality possible.

Our Services

Project Feasibility Studies

Our PFS's offer a focus on energy flow and business case analysis for projects in the off-grid microgrid, C&I, mining, oil & gas and grid-connected utility-scale spaces.

Base Design and Detailed Design of Plant Control and Automation Systems

This service is specifically for solar, wind, and energy storage projects, whether small microgrid systems or highly complex grid-connected hybrid plants, we can complete the base and detailed design of your control and automation system.

Simulation Model Development and Validation​

We develop simulation models in DIgSILENT PowerFactory, MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD and PSS/E for various plant types. We can also assist with improving existing models and carrying out model tuning and validation using factory or site testing results.

Grid-Forming Converter Technology​

Having designed the first utility-scale grid forming energy storage plant on the National Electricity Market of Australia, we are very familiar with different aspects of operating energy storage or renewable plants coupled via grid-forming converters, thus we can provide informed advice from the technical integration perspective.

Grid Compliance and Connection Studies

We offer assistance with achieving grid compliance and interpreting Grid Codes and/or Technical Rules in different jurisdictions which is necessary for a successful connection of plants to the power systems.

Control System Design and Development

This service is offered for the physical plant. Our focus is on developing the Power Plant Controller (PPC). It will accommodate the functionality for operating the plant on the network while ensuring compliance with any technical rules is achieved. The PPC is built to maximise value stacking for optimal financial performance in different power system markets.

System Commissioning

We assist with System Commissioning via various stages of the commissioning lifecycle. From initial energisation through to R2 Hold Point and performance testing, complemented by validation of the power system simulation models.

Post-Commissioning & Operational Life Services

This service is for when the project is live and has entered commercial operation. We then can provide detailed analytics of past plant performance and devising strategies for future revenue streams and market services.
